The Ontario Provincial Police have identified the three young people killed in a deadly rollover near Alliston, Ont., this past weekend.

Police were called to a section of the Adjala-Tecumseth Townline near Alliston at about 8 a.m. Sunday, where a vehicle was found upside down and partially submerged in a ditch.

It is not yet precisely clear when the crash occurred, but the three victims were dead when first responders arrived at the scene.

In a news release issued Monday, police identified the victims as:

  • Justin Keogh, 18, of Wasaga Beach.
  • Kevin Papps, 19, of Adjala-Tosorontio Township.
  • Eric Jover, 20, of the Town of New Tecumseth.

A day later, flowers and a card marked the spot where the three young men died together.

The eldest victim's father said Eric Jover had both an older and younger brother and a family who loved him.

With the crash, "a small part of me died yesterday," Miguel Jover told CBC News in an interview on Monday.

The investigation into the collision continues.

Police are still trying to determine if the victims died on impact, or drowned in the submerged car. There is still no word on whether speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.

It was deadly weekend on roads and highways across the province, in which at least 10 people died in collisions across the province, including nine in southern Ontario alone.
