Two arrested after drugs worth £20000 seized from cars in Glasgow - stv.tv

Two men have been arrested in separate incidents that saw drugs worth more than £20,000 seized by police in Glasgow.

The first man, who is 27, was detained at 6.45pm on Saturday after his car was stopped and searched in the Arden area in connection with alleged road traffic offences.

During the search officers found a quantity of cocaine, with an estimated street value of around £20,000 and the man was arrested.

The second incident occurred at around 7.30pm on the same day when a car was stopped and searched in Aikenhead Road, Glasgow. A quantity of diazepam tablets with an estimated value of around £1000 was seized from the vehicle.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this seizure.

Reports will be sent to the procurator fiscal, and both men are expected to appear in court later in the week.
