Lancaster police have arrested two people as the result of a monthlong drug-dealing investigation spurred by citizen complaints.
Armed with a search warrant, law-enforcement officials entered a home at 507 Green St. at 10:45 a.m. Thursday.
Taken into custody were Michael A. Reynolds, 29, and Andrea R. Weathers, 43. Police said both are residents of the home.
The two are facing charges of possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia.
They were awaiting arraignment Thursday night.
Thursday's detail was carried out by members of the city police Selective Enforcement Unit and Lancaster Drug Task Force.
Sgt. Kevin Fry said officials began an investigation of the area after residents complained of illegal drug activity in the block.
Through surveillance and routine patrols, police confirmed that drug-dealing was taking place on the street.
Investigators then began an undercover operation, purchasing cocaine and marijuana from the suspects' home on several occasions, Fry said.
On Thursday morning, the 500 block of Green Street, west of South Christian Street, was closed just before 10:45 a.m. while more than a dozen law-enforcement officials descended on the house.
After taking Reynolds and Weathers into custody, police searched the home and seized items including 8.74 grams of cocaine, 114 grams of marijuana, $108 in cash and drug paraphernalia such as a scale, a grinder and packaging materials.
Also confiscated were several game systems and a Dell laptop computer.
