Three arrested in drugs raid in Millbrook

A TEENAGE girl was among three people arrested in connection with supplying drugs following a police raid on a Southampton estate.

The 17-year-old was held on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of cannabis after police swooped on a house in Windermere Avenue, Millbrook.

Also arrested for the same offence was a 23-year-old man, while a woman aged 49 was questioned on suspicion of intent to supply the Class B drug.

All three have been bailed until November while police carry out further enquiries.

The raid, carried out by a local safer neighbourhood team, happened last Thursday and followed direct intelligence given to police by residents living in the area.

PC Chris Collins said: "This shows a continued effort to reduce the supply of drugs in the Millbrook area with the aim of reducing the knock-on effect that drugs has in the community.

"We would encourage local people to continue reporting this type of activity to assist the police in tackling this blight on society."

Anyone with information about drugs in their neighbourhood or who has concerns can call Shirley police on 101.
