Police in Louisville, Ky., arrested Sullivan University student Brian Guidi Thursday on charges of drug trafficking, according to WDRB.

Guidi, 27, was found on school property in a car containing full bottles of prescription medication, baggies of marijuana, a glass smoking contraption and a marijuana crusher, according to a police writeup reported by WLKY. Guidi was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police were acting on a tip, the station said.

Guidi reportedly told police he also had a half-bottle of hydrocodone, a narcotic that produces a euphoric high similar to that obtained by using heroin. Emergency room visits resulting from hydrocodone abuse went up more than 450 percent from 2000 to 2009, according to data from the Drug Enforcement Administration, making it one of the most widely abused prescription drugs.

Guidi's case follows a month of college-related drug busts that were notable more for involving prominent athletes than alleged campus drug dealers.

In Baton Rouge, La., former LSU football stars Tyrann Mathieu and Jordan Jefferson were arrested Thursday after police found 10 bags of high-grade marijuana, a digital scale and a grinder in Mathieu's apartment, according to reports.

Earlier this month, University of Missouri wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham and two teammates were arrested for marijuana possession in parking lot near the football stadium, the Tennessean reported.
