Man pleads guilty to sending obscene material to underage girl on Facebook - Dallas Morning News (blog)

A man pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court to sending an obscene photo and text messages to a 14-year-old girl he met on Facebook.

Andrew Dale McKee, 36, formerly of Oklahoma City, pleaded guilty to one count of transferring obscene material to a minor.

If a judge accepts the plea, both parties agree to a punishment of a little more than seven years in prison, the U.S. attorney's office said.

McKee, who is currently in custody, also faces a fine of up to $250,000 and a lifetime of probation when he is sentenced on Feb. 1 before U.S. District Judge Barbara M. G. Lynn.

McKee admitted to sending a friend request to the girl in April 2012 on Facebook. The victim's page was public and included her name and birth date, along with the name of her middle school and her cell phone number, federal authorities said.

When the victim accepted his friend request, McKee sent her the obscene text messages and photo. He told her he wanted to have sex with her and a friend who he believed was also 14.

McKee persuaded the second teen to meet him in Garland to have sex after sending her the same obscene photo.

On April 26, he met her in the city at a prearranged time and place. He was arrested by Garland police at the location.
