Police: Man arrested in fatal domestic violence incident - WBAL Baltimore

BALTIMORE —

Baltimore police detectives said they have arrested a man in connection to a fatal case of domestic violence.

Authorities said 19-year-old Tyrone Alston was arrested Friday in connection with the murder of Tashawna Jones.

On Oct. 12, officers were called to the 300 block of E. 26th Street where medics were treating a woman who was bleeding from an apparent head trauma. The victim was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital where it was learned she had been shot in the head.

The victim later died as a result of her injuries and homicide detectives immediately began an investigation into her murder.

Alston, the boyfriend of the victim, was identified as the suspect. Investigators said they believe the murder was a result of domestic violence.

Alston faces charges including first-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and various handgun-related charges.

Investigators urge anyone suffering from domestic related abuse to seek immediate help.
